Special Interest Groups
Special Interest Groups help members connect on a more personal level and tend to be rewarding and fulfilling. Form a group comprised of members sharing a common interest (Book Club, Mommy ‘n Me, Sister Mixers) with the intention of having this group create a bond with one another as well as the alumnae group. Interest Groups should have a chairman to be a liaison between the SIG and the alumnae chapter or association.
N.A.U.T.IC.A.L. is a group for young alums under thirty! Follow along with them on their Facebook page: N.A.U.T.IC.A.L.
Delta Gamma Golden Cable Investment Club--We meet for the purpose of pooling our money and making long-term investments. We are a long established group (over 20 years). Our annual return varies with the stock market, but our 3 year average return is +6.8%, our 5 year average annual return is +9.5%, and our 2016 return to-date is +10.9%. Of course there are no guarantees of any return! We have some members who have long-term investment experience including our treasurer, Susan Moorman. She was a stockbroker until retirement and has a wealth of knowledge. Currently we meet: Date: The second Monday of each month. Location: Johnnie’s on Britton Road, Oklahoma City. Time: 5:30 p.m. Payment: $150.00 every quarter. This is a great opportunity to earn some money, learn about markets, while socializing with our sorority sisters. If you are interested please contact Carolyn Taylor by her e-mail address carolyn3017@att.net or on her cell phone (405) 630-4445. If there is a better meeting date, location, or time for you, please let us know. We will consider an evening meeting time to accommodate our working sisters. We look forward to hearing from you!
